Hey there party peoples,

Gizmo again, just giving you all the low down on whats up. I've been over at moms for the last 5 days or so chilling out and helping here with assorted jobs. I finished up the force unleashed, I really need to add to my list of games eesh...

Been talking to D a little bit, its funny how time passes by...seems like it was yesterday or the day before for events in my life and other happenstance.

I really want to pick up San Andreas for my 360...i just don't think that i'll get around to playing it.

Merry Christmas all, I'll keep you more posted this year...maybe make it part of my daily routine

It has been nearly 9 months since I have last posted here...I figure it would be a good time to get in a short update.

Today is going to run relatively short I hope Thanksgiving break is upon us and I'd much rather be sitting at home or hanging out with friends and whot nots.

Nothing new on the ladies front, but what are you going to do.

I'm pretty stoked about the upcoming Avenged Sevenfold concert on the 9th, should be hot

brother ain't going to be coming home for Christmas apparently, which will be a major drag considering the fact that I will be down in delaware with Mom for about a week with no one to speak to or hang out with...maybe it will be a good time to catch up on final fantasy 12...(hahahaha)

in other news, I've gotten finished a fair number of games...including fallout3, gears of war 2, among others

More a little bit later, and I'll probably be doing some creative writing in my Insane Ramblings blog... I need to get some of that creative spark back :)

I have a student-teacher conference today...The funny thing about it is that the student isn't really a big problem, nor is he doing poorly in my class. I find it funny now-a-days how no student is absolutely incapable of recieving anything less than an A, let alone the number of parents that come up to me asking how their son can do better than a 95...i mean seriously...

Any dangwangway, Life is ok I guess, I've been on this chinese calander kick considering that the things they said were rather accurate. Year of the Dog BTW. I have some stuff to compile...will post more in a second.

Hey there peoples,

I'm sitting in my room thinking about stuff, and I thought that it was about time that I posted something here agains.

Be it or not, I should be getting work done. But, i'm posting...so yay and stuff

What I really need is motivation to get into a big project cause right now...NON EXISTANT :)

I figure I have 14 minutes to do something, Including getting finished some grading that needs to be done before the pile stacks up, do some reading because I should and to top that all off hope to the powers that be that my car doesn't get towed tonight because i'll be parking with an expired tag. All in all it should be fairly interesting. Once again, Whatever!

So the real question is, what is new Giz?

Ummmm... not much really I'm still working for the school, and the students are still a real big pain in the ass (I'm having trouble dealing with humanitys rampant immaturity)

Tell you what, I need to finish up those tutorials that are posted on reimers site, and I'll prolly end up doing that tonight considering the fact that I really don't feel like playing Half-Life 2

...Speaking of which i need to update my list of games that I have beaten....been a while (kinda sad when you have a running list of the games you've played, beaten, and games that you will never ever beat in 67, 000 years....mainly because some wierdo made...AHEM IWBTG

It is Monday agin, which means...Work, School, Home, Sleep, zam. In between there I might get a chance to check up on the new Wii VC titles that have sprung up, zam. Other than that, nothing is really new... I missed two appointments that I had this weekend from completely zoning out, but whatever. Juniors are going out on retreat today so the traffic should be better for the next day or so.

In life, ummmm... I have gained prolly about 3 xp, no increase in HP or MP...but a slight increased resistance to sleep, zam.

Monday, the 16th of April was a fairly uneventful day for the ongoing adventures of GizmoDaMogwai. His work was rather eventless, his school was ...well school, but nothing posed out of the ordinary for this young professional. This post, however, is not about me (imagine that for once) it is about those men and women that were taken away from us at Virgina Tech. I'm not a religious man, though I have my occasions where I will be very theological (if that is the right word), and I hope that these people can find some peace in their existance in the beyond...for that was the end of their adventures. In this light, Gizmo will have to do more living for those who cannot. Brave new challenges and wot not... I make this post in the peace and the prayer for the fallen. Amen

dota, classes, work and stuff

So not too much new on the front here, thought I would update my loyal readers. (what readers)

Ummm, played some DotA last night had 2 shitty games and another game where it could've been good, but people shittied it for us.

Work is routine, kids are idiots and they won't learn anything.

Classes are going alright, I think i am somewhat keeping up with them...still have some work to do with my hand still, but I can do that in class...

stuff...yeah, stuff...Brian is good, Kathi is busy with paperwork, Nick is a monkey, chris is doin aight...see how he did on his cume. Mom is completely tech inept still :)

I'm currently at work, and what a droll day it is going to be. I have nothing to do for 2 periods, then I have to watch the idiots eat (because apparently they can't eat without being stupid) then wait another 2 3 periods so I can sit in another room and do nothing...following going back and doing nothing and then having a study hall last period.

If I wanted to waste my time and talents I would go to try to teach squirrels about the rigors and benefits of real estate.

Yeah, so i'm sick... a cough, a headache, a mean nasty nose irratation, and a sore throat. Beyond that everything is ok. I got quite possibly the funniest answer to a question that I have posed in a while. When asked to define the term 'toolbar' one student wrote: "it supplies all of your needs"

DotA Blues

DotA is a user map for Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne(WC3:TFT). Being that I suck all hardcore at WC3 and TFT I enjoy playing the occasional round where i go off destroying other heros and such. The game progressively goes downhill as to the quality of the matches that I watch time pass. I wanted to update my stats and scores, but it might just be too much of a hassle as that i really don't even want to worry about changing them in the first place

On other news, I'm playing through FFXII, which is fun but can be labor-intensive at times. I want to start playing Disaega but know that as soon as I do, i'll lose interest in FFXII

Just got finished with another one of my more wonderful and outspoken classes. I think that one of the reasons that I am becoming more and more irritable is because of these god forsaken knuckleheads. Everything is a joke to them for some reason or another, they could care less about where they are or what they are doing. You'd think that a catholic institution would teach them a little bit about respect, instead it just teaches them to be athiestic asses. Catholisicm is wrong in general...but whatever. I have some grading to take care of and some other things that need to be done...more later

I got snakes on a plane, and tourgasm on DVD (thanks george) and will be watching those promptly a morrow.

Moreover, I am feeling alright now...just need to get back into the grind. The holiday season kinda got me all soft n mushy inside-like...need to be hard like rock again!

Thoughts Redux

I don't know what kind of problems I have. I might have an anxiety issue...maybe a chemical inbalance somewhere up in the 'ol noggin. I get to thinking and its typically not of the kind of thinking that really gets work done. All I really want is to be content with how things are in my life. It gets to be that when I get to work there is a feeling in my gut that I can't squelch with any amount of will power. I enjoy teaching, I'd like to know how I can cut some of the stress out of my life, makes me feel like I'm going to have an ulcer by the time I am 30.

Beyond all that, I need someone to talk to...and at this time on this day the only thing that I can do to relieve my aches is to write to a blog that no-one checks. Maybe besides Brian (you is mah homie) I think most of this panic attack is brought on through the starting of classes and the ending of the christmas holiday...less I feel refreshed and more of dread. I mean, do I really feel like an adult...shoot, I sit here in my classroom, thinking about how I'd rather be sitting at home on the table playing TMNT on the NES with my brother and smelling the cooking that's wafting from the kitchen. I miss the old times (sometimes). Moreover, I just hate having to deal with Chris heading back up to Mass and not being able to see him often. In the end I don't know why I have these little fits whenever I get back

Maybe I'll find some answers...I need to do some grading

I played with my Wii!

Man, that still sounds so dirty...

Anyway, howdy party peoples and welcome to another addition of: We don't care what Gizmo has to say about his everyday life.

Wii impressions:
Sitting outside in line is zero amount of fun without a hangglider or pinball machine in front of you. Yeah, I stole that from homestarrunner, but it is true...the number of people that got stabbed, shot, schmozzled...outside of a Best buy for one of the ps3s makes me glad the angry black guy behind me didn't decide to go postal and start Ray Lewising everyone...

Out of the box...

When i first opened the Wii box half of the stuff fell out of it... which really leads me to believe that someone in the R&D department never truly opened the box or had someone other than the designers open the box...

Thankfully nothing was damaged...

My housemates can attest to the amounts of "What the F*%& is this thing?" that came out of my mouth while I unpacked the different parts of the system so heres a wonderful list for those of you who care...

A Wii (so dirty, Oh TOSHI!)
A Metallic Wii Stand (Oooo, shiney!)
A Stabilizer for the Stand (Oooo, Smoothy!)
A Sensor Bar (Ooooo, long and rectangularly!)
A Remote (Dubbed the Wiimote by most)
A Nunchuk (I wanted to club some people with this thing...seriously)
Wii Sports CD
Some sticky stuff for the Sensor bar
A crap load of manuals

After pulling out all the items and attaching the items to the system. I started the Wii to find a system setup to get the date and time and all that good jazz. My housemates closed the window blinds as to not be embarrassed by the Wii'ing. After that We hit the Wii menu...which is broken in to several Wii channels. The OS is elegant and simple, some items could be placed in a more convient setting but...whatever.

The Hardware:

The hardware is compact and sleek. The remote is comfortable when held and the wrist strap doesn't bother while being used...Although I will never let my brother use the system because i think even with the strap he'll mash the controller into itty pieces. The sensor does a good job about picking up the controller movements even without a calibration check (a feature which would be nice to see).

The Software:

Menus are good, the Mii's are hilarious...mini representations of yourself

The Launch App:

Wii sports is the combination of Golf, Bowling, Baseball, Tennis, and Boxing. While no game truly does justice to its respective genre, each game is entertaining and use the Wiimote to a good justice.

Other Stuff:

It says Wi-Fi out of the box, i haven't gotten it set up yet... of which, I think, should have been stated to me when I set the thing up...

Initial Impressions: Family Guy Game

I know what you all are thinking...oh god another excuse for someone to cash in on a intellectual property right and make a chumpy game filled with bad programming and even worse gameplay

AAAAAANH ( my poor excuse for a imitation of a buzzer)

The Family Guy Game is neat blend of three different play styles jumbled together with a dash of mini game and the kind of idiotic and oh-so-very wrong-ness that Family Guy is famous for...

The Trinity:
Stewie, Brian and Peter (all voiced by Seth) hit the game with a unique style that makes for a fun gamestyle. Stewie leads off with a ray gun shooting platformer that has you jumping, floating, sliding and playing a centepede-ish square off against bertrams evil forces...well just as evil as you...but there is no more room for evil...yes, we're all booked up...yep Brian is accused of impregnating Seabreeze again and Carter Pewterschmidt has him arrested, subsuquently Brian must sneak and disguise his way to the truth. Finally, Peter is a side scrolling beat-down fest much to the likens of Final Fight. The real differences in Peters gamestyle from Final fight is that there are different enemies with different weaknesses (ie: some die from kicks only and other punches or combos).

Being a Family Guy fan I am a little more likely to overlook small things that annoy me... Things like some minor glitchiness that results from the over mashing of buttons when you really probably shouldn't be...and the re-use of the same sounds over and over again.

Some of the comedy is reused from the show, the mini-games in essence are mostly easy and will provide you with a nifty reward.

In closing, the Family Guy game provides a humourous diversion from everyday life that offers fun and easy to use mechanics...and a toddler with a ray gun...

More when I beat the game (or in Hoffmannese 'win the game')

So I won me that Xbox360 at the CGD4. I have picked up a wireless adapter for it (100$ btw, you gouging microsoft whores) and a copy of Ghost Recon...graphics are awesome!

Other than that, I talked to the boss man today, and everything looks positive. I think he would like to have me back for the next year (at least he told me he was entertaining the thought)

We go to CGD4 and I do my typical chicken with his head chopped off routine and what not. A week or so back, I noticed that jon at powergamer had some Xbox360's and i asked josh if he wanted to go halves on one...we eventually decided that there was no purpose in getting one because of the price and the lack of titles at the moment...

Went to CGD4, worked my butt off, went to the drawings...first dakota, who wasn't here...then someone else, who tried to heist it, then lo and behold the final drawing..

yeah...i know..that is awesome

Still teaching, had my observation yesterday. I thought that the process went smoothly and it seemed like he was fairly impressed, which is good. Other than that, 1 more week until spring break...THEN WOOOOOOO

Playing Oblivion, although I think I hit a spot where i'mma need to find dude to get the key to his tower so i can thieve some good stuff! I'm going to try to get some WoW in tonight, hopefully get a WC run finished with!!!

Phone is still broken :{ , called cingular and am switching to verizon...so we'll see how that goes. Gotta call the mom tonight and see whats down.

other than that, just hangin in there...moseyin along in this world...I mean, I still have no clue as to why I'm here or what I'm supposed to be doing at any given second. I still have to think to myself, however, that...

What I do will be based on my own actions and the subsequent actions will fall from the actions that preceeded it. I will always have an opinion or thought on the current situation and react to it accordingly, and that is something that won't change unless something changes it...wether it be a life altering event or my own choosing. So why should I worry about wether or not i'm making the correct decision, because most often I always will make the right choice based on my own observations. If i do worry...its because i choose to do so...even if it is...in all likelihood, meaningless to worry because it has already been done.

First Impression: TES4: Obilivon

Harg sat in the deep dark murky cell of the imperial prison, contemplating his plight. Unknowning of his own origins or of whence he came into this cell he approached the door.

"'ae there wood elf" bantered the brutish figure in the shadows of the cell acrost

Harg, sat there puzzled and continued to listen

"The 'mperor is gunna have yer head, you won' be frolicin much more later afte' this..." he continued...

Harg turned around and examined his confines. He picked up a tankard and scowled at the foul liquid that they called a drink that laid within tossing it aside as the clanking of metal came to his ears.

"Make way, the emperor is coming" yelled the guards.

Being surprised Harg jumped to the door again, the brute kept quiet.

Just the beginning opening of the new Bethesda game Oblivion, which in its own right is leaps and bounds IMO better than its predecessor Morrowind...

Graphics: The Graphics in this game are great as of so far, everything has texture and grating to it. Although i'm interested in seeing some of the seedier parts of the world to see how they deal with other textures and models.

Sound: Sound is to be as expected, ol Jean Luc Picard is doing the voicing for the emperor which is neat. He gets killed off in the tutorial though. Everything else is there from ambiance to clanking of armor. Overall a job well done, i'll speak more about the musical score when I get to hearing all of it.

AI: The AI is intuitive and smart, although sometimes it borders the line of really retarded and too smart for its own good. Example: When I am sneaking and I am detected sometimes the computer will run right to me, wherever I am, or it will stop and ponder what the noise was. The final bit about the AI is that the computer still does not know how to climb over simple obstacles or jump, but take the long path around.

Gameplay:
Quest log: The new and improved quest log is sometimes ambigeous but well concieved. Gone are the days of morrowind and having to highlight over a million and a half things to find items in your stash. All quests can be read, maps to be looked over and Fast Travels to be traveled

Traveling the outside world: Along with the graphics the Terrain is versed and well done. Horses help the player get from point to point in a quicker pace, although the controls are a bit clunky. Although I am a bit confused about the lack of sentient beings in the world, I believe I was attacked once by a wolf in a travel...

Battle: The battle system is one of the greatest improvements over the previous title Morrowind. You actually have to block, swing, jump, roll, and be aware of your surroundings. You know...actually having a battle system, and not stand in one place and try to hack him to death while missing 800 times. There still is the problem that the pathing for the AI can get screwy.

Overall:
Minus a few bugs the Game rocks, 'nuff said. Single player RPG of the Year

Finance: Been spending a bit too much lately, I really need to cut down. It won't really be hard because I have alot to do now and I don't need to worry about trying to find things that I want to do.

Romance: HA! as if my life has any time for that, all in all no prospects. Me working at the sausage factory over here doesn't really help prospects too much either. All in time right?

Entertainment: In compliment to my finances, my entertainment ratio is still quite high. I have been enjoying playing DotA with the bro and picking up World of Warcraft with Yosh, recently I picked up TES4: Obilvion. So all in all I am having fun outside of my pain filled obligations

Work: I hate the kids, I hate waking up, and I hate having to do prayer every single class. Minus a few students that really like being here... That is pretty much my sums up about my sayings about work

Friends: Nick stops around every now and again, I've been talking a bit with Brian again as well, other than that Me and Josh hang out mainly because we're around the house after work at the same time. I'm hoping to get down to Cali with Wade and Pat for a week and get a chance to try some bbq with Ken.

Family: Dave is hopefully getting over whatever ills plague him. Haven't talked to Mom in a few days, but i'm sure that she is worried about Dave and has been busy with everything that is going on in her life. She deserves a few moments to herself. Wished her a Nat'l Holiday today and woke her up, i'm sure she appreciated it though. Chris is over in UMass still, I miss having him around, but we talk enough and we get to play games together like U said...just sometimes...you know what I mean

Anywho, thats a small bit of my life...In the end when I think about it, I am lucky to be where I am...

Seriously folks, I'm getting rather tired of it.

Wah, How is this going to help me in the future. Wah! i'm tired (GET A JOB). Wah! I don't want to do this (well gee if you get it done you won't have to anymore). Out of all the lazy inconsiderate people in this world I can finally remember where it all begins, continues and persists. If you ask me what i think needs to be done in order to get america's youth back into shape: its about 5 feet long, is made of leather and is usually used to hold someone's pants up...I am not your babysitter and I am not doing this because I hate you, its because you are making my job harder and making me look bad when dude comes in the room to see people goofing off. I have no control over what you do on the computer because apparently these retards don't know how good they really have it. You should look forwards to seeing more of "you are not priveledged to see this website" or "you cannot change the date/time contact your system administrators"

Wierded Out!: Psychopath running loose

This past Wednesday, in a fury of white lights and automated voice recordings blaring over the PA, our class had a fire drill. So, as the calm and collected adult that I am, I threw whatever I had on the floor and ran screaming out of the building like a little girl. No, thats not it... What apparently happened was around 6:48 or so, the people in J218 heard a loud banging sound. This sound, not much unlike a trash can banging against a wall, stopped after a few seconds then the fire alarm went off. The following is the best summary of events which took place:

Dude took a brick (where he got a brick, I have no idea)
Threw said brick into the Presidents office window while no one was inside
Picked up a fire estinguisher and...
proceeded to bash the hell out of a water fountain.
then...pulled the fire alarm
I ate a turkey sandwich..

The question being, who is this person and what the hell is he attacking a water fountain for...because...seriously...its a water fountain. I did, however, lock my door to the classroom whilst I was teaching. I was not particularly interested in getting brick'd, estinguished, or otherwise harmed by strange objects...It really makes you think.

I figured that because of a certain issue, and a certain person that egged my template using self that I will be creating a custom layout for the page. Now this is not to say that I will stop using blogger, mainly because I am too lazy to upkeep a real website for these purposes. Other than that I plan on picking up Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion when it comes out next week which will be excellent (I hope) and a new video card for my desktop (that needs to be upgraded). ANYWHO... So I got the job over at Archbishop Curley. Things in my life are going rather a mile a minute. I have also managed to start talking to Kathi more, which I missed bunches since she left for UB. Everyone is really nice here and quite helpful. First thing mom says:

I love ya mom, but sometimes...just sometimes...you make me wanna jump off a pier at low tide.

Other than that things are kind of uneventful. Finally got Josh into playing DotA, but hes getting kind of worn out on it. I might give him a break.

So, I got a call from a friend with yet another job oppurtunity. I always wonder what things will be like before I even go for it. I'm pretty sure that I am qualified for the position, its just that it is very foreboding to me sometimes.

How am I going to get there? What will I do if I fail? Will the people there be nice?

All these things ache in the back of my mind as i continually tell myself that I cannot keep living this way. Like I said though, if I have people like them believing in me, then why should I not believe in myself.

I loves me some DotA, but as you have noticed I have long since ceased my recording of my win/loss board for some months. The main reason for this is that 75%-85% of the games played on BNet are plagued by people who quit, people that are retarded, people that flame. Notice that I have nothing to say about those people who don't know how to play, those few people don't ruin games entirely. Even so, not everyone starts out being the greatest DotA Player ever. Personal Opinion: The Emulation Debacle

So really, what is there to say?

With the plague of piracy and the threats of lawsuits for said reason becoming widespread it becomes more and more difficult for the average everyday person to make backup/archival copies and as well, use existing products that may have become either outdated/worn out or otherwise inoperable.

Personally, I enjoy going back to the old style and playing some of the older games, remembering the fonder moments of my childhood. The first time my bro and I killed the rampaging alien motherbrain, and so on...

Recently, I have picked up the emulation art of the Sony Playstation. I have always had some success with the playstation emulator EPSXE, mainly because it worked well with all the CD's that I have as well as the image files I burned onto my computer from them. There is one thing however that kind of urks me, there seems to be a lack of support for different pad plugin support. It urks me because the lovely knuckleheads at Microsoft wrote some poorly developed drivers for my recently purchased wired XBox360 controller for Windows, and i cannot use my right analog stick and the Triggers are on the same axis.

I'll talk more about the different emulators in a different post when I have time to look them over

So i'm attacking these hellhounds and running around in a dungeon when I hit the occasional 'Evolve, or Die!!" mini-game in which you have to complete a room in a set time, or perish in a most unsuitable fashion (I have yet to perish). So the time for this particular room is 6.00 seconds, and when the time is up you get a ranking on the food chain...hence the photo!

Thanksgiving

So around tuesday I was picked up by fireman Dave to go get my brother. Man, i tell you what, we spent a good 30 minutes finding gas, then another 30 minutes looking for a place to park so we could get to chris's gate easily...what a wreck. Eventually we got into place and we drove down, which didn't seem to bad cause we were talking and catching up.

We got home and played some DotA, Then ma got home, we ate a lot.

Then we played some DotA, Then we ate a lot

after that we went to Wills, ate the chiplote, then played DotA

Overall, this years bounty was some turkey, mashed taters and some of the sauce

First Impressions: Call of Duty 2

Call of Duty 2 is the anticipated sequel to the 2003 game of the year World War II first person shooter. This time around being tossed around to XboX, XboX360, and the PC.

Install: Recommendation GET THE DVD edition, 1 disc, no hassle

Graphics: Now, i'm running on low settings to get decent preformance out of my 1.6 ghz machine, but CoD2 really doesn't look that much different than its predecessor. There are some neat effects they have added ie: smoke grenades and more realistic explosions and the like which make it prettier, but overall the graphics are solid and can stand up to most any 3D game on the market today

Sound: The aural experience in CoD2 is just as good as it was before, tons of voice acting and music to fit the boot make this an immersive experience

Gameplay: The ol, meat an potatoes of the game. To avail and dissapointment the game so far hits the standard points of interest in a FPS single player campaign. Run to an objective, hold off enemy reinforcements, etc... However, with its presentation there are usually a few solid moments in the gameplay which will take you out of your seat and into the battlefield

Multiplayer:
Same game, new weapons, some new maps, some old maps...really a mixxed bag, but the changing of the keyboard mappings really help with quick response that is needed in the game. ie: you can toggle the primary weapons with the 1 key and can now hold and toss grenades with the g key. Overall good stuff

Overall: Without digging through the entire singleplayer it is safe to say that the game is continuing to stand up to its legacy of quality work. If you haven't played CoD and are looking for an excellent FPS in this or any theme CoD2 is the game to pick up, otherwise you can get just as much enjoyment as ripping out some custom maps in the old game for half the price.

First Impressions: Quake 4

I rode my bike through all the clatter, threw off my coat to see if it mattered.
When I came up to the mailbox all excited and fearful, I found a white box and became gleeful.

bah, enough with the rhyme

So, I finally got my Quake 4 and Call of Duty 2 boxes in the mail yesterday from GoGamerand tore open the boxes. From the get go let me say this... DVD Editions are the way to go. One disc to install!

lets start with an oldy but goody...

Quake 4 is the continuation of the original Quake 2 storyline taking you, Marcus Kane, through a series of events in a invasion of the Strogg homeworld. The beginning of the game has you being suited up and in transport to Strogos when, of course, your nifty spacecraft gets conveniently blown into the ground. So, you get planted into the standard Doom-esqe turorial in the first mission and meet a few of your buddies, well...a large number of your buddies. I'm unaccustomed to this new-fangled idea that your comrades are just...Somewhat like you in the respect that they can live past 3.5 seconds on the field. I would say for some percentage of the action you are accompanied by 1 to 3 comrades: a medic, a tech, and a soldier all of which do a good job of sticking with you and clearing out the opposition. They also are well equipped at dying a horrible death if left unattended to get mauled in some crucial sequences.

Graphics:
let me first say this, Doom 3 engine, the box states I have to have a 2.0 GHZ machine to run this beast. I have a 1.6 in my laptop and run at a smooth enough framerate as not to bother my experience barring the occasional autosave. The graphics are, as usual top notch, even with low settings this game can rival that of the graphics that some of the next gen consoles boast about.

Gameplay:
Single-Player: The single player experience is solid, and consists of the following sequence:

"Kane, go find a way in there!"

Me being Kane: "Yeah, yeah" *grumbles loudly*

*I find the way in*

"Good job, Kane"

Kane: "Thats how we do"

Comm: "Oh S*&t, I'm pinned down and I need a medic"

"Kane, go take a medic to Raven Squad"

Kane: "... You mean through a series of doors that will undoubtedly pit me against a series of increasingly resistant to bullet fire enemies and eventually declare me, the sole savior of the universe?"

"Yes"

Kane: "OKAY!"

Multiplayer:
Think, quake 2 style meets quake 3 speed. DM is as per usual, if you're interested in blowing stuff up and mowing down people this is a fun round. I'm still looking for a Quake 2 Style, rail-wars CTF server

Sound:
The sound has a positive influence on the mood of the level that you are playing in, and the sound effects capture the personality and the mindset of those of the proud 314th. The only gripe I have is that I heard some repetitive comments while fighting...no big deal.

Overall: Gizmo gives Quake 4 a first impression of 4 lobsters

Angry Rant: I hate this

First off, I choose the path in which i take, so everything afacing this is nothing but a bunch of steam blowing in an effort to regain my normal cheery self.

Ahem, I hate this stuff, nothing but do this and do that and someone yelling at me because something needs to get done, but they didn't get proper notice. I hate my transportation. I need better, because I get smelly, I have to work, and it takes me an extra 20 minutes to get to where I am going. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy getting some exercise, but not in the morning.

I need a better bed, this one sucks all... I wake up in the morning pretty tired, that prolly because I am not getting proper sleep from listening to shows or the ambient light that my computer screen gives off, who knows

I want to live alone, but I need an other. My computer needs upgrading. I want to sleep. I need to eat... I want to talk to my brother, i can't because my phone sucks

yeah, monday wasn't quite as bad... looks like tuesday is just going to be a little depressing

The weekend was short and underlived. Relaxed a bunch and got some grocery shopping done. I finally got paid for my assistance work so I'll have to deposit that tomorrow. Overall I say it was an interesting foray.

The guys want to throw a Halloween bash at their place, but can't because my stuff is occupying the basement. I know it stinks, but its prolly the best anyway...Its during the week and besides parties make messes like no other.

Thanksgiving is approaching and I'll be over at mother's for the weekend. I'm sure she misses us a bunch, even if the majority of what she did was yell at us.

Still haven't gotten around to editing my GSN Shoutcast that happened on last Sunday...I really don't think that editing is the way to go cause the way it used to be was kind of original in some respects. You know, whatever happens, happens

Some of you might notice that I have a DotA scoreboard on the side of my Blog, I keep that updated so expect to see some numbers up there in the passing weeks. Fun stuff.

Debate: Kratos vs Ryu Part II

Ok, now its time to get down to the nit and gritty portion of this entry, this bout will be thrown together by a series of categories in which the 2 will be compared, finally a description of the battle and the final victor will be announced. Lets get this thing rollin

Strength: Kratos - While Ryu has the abilities to wield his weapons with profiecncy and power, he doesn't show the brute raw strength that Kratos displays time and again in his quest.

Agility: Ryu - Ryu has faster reflexes and can do more with his surroundings than Kratos could hope for

Speed: Ryu - Ryu is fast on the battlefield, really fast

Stamina: Kratos - Neither of these guys really have a limit on thier stamina, although i would end up going for Kratos on the end if it were to be tested.

Intelligence: Ryu - In terms of the brains department, neither of these guys really have much in thier heads beyond thoughts of merciless slaughter. There is one thing, however, that tips the odds in Ryu's favor: Ninpo. Being a Ninja, Ryu has the ability to use Ninpo which requires that he channel his own spirit into magic. This ability would have to require a large amount of training, discipline, and moreover intelligence.

Weapon Finesse: Ryu - Having more weapons and more overall moves this bout would have to go to Ryu on the sole account that he knows many more styles of fighting than Kratos.

My problem is not with the bike, the drivers, or the shoddy job of leveling that the pavement company did when it first contracted its job, but with the idiots who were laughing at my pain and suffering. Not the mention that they didn't seem to care at all that I was there laying on the ground with small portions of my left side laying on the pavement in an evenly spread fashion due to friction and kinetic energy.

Yeah, funny stuff...Keep laughing, you're really helping my belief that people are really making progress in the coming years

Wednesday... the short and sweet version, went to school to meet with Lois for pictures, hopefully that will call an end to the seige that has been the AH CD. Then chilled out a bit and went home. Gaiden is now on the shelf, it has angered me for the last time! my Dota record as of this morning is 1-1-1 i put the draw column in there for leavers and what not which skew the game to an obsurd advantage.

So I went to bed last night around 9ish to get up at roughly 6 the next morning, and Chris calls around 11, so we play a game of DotA and I hit the bed around 12 to wake up at 7ish.

I meander into the kitchen and grab my nightly provisions: a crescent roll, a slice of cheese and a glass of cranberry-grape and trudge back to my hovel. I fall asleep after quickly gobbling down the food. Time for roll, camera, action.

I find myself deeply entrenched in some vineyard fields fighting off a load of Hispanic people with a garand. I take aim and fire, though it seems that none of them really get hurt. Then a siren and we all rush through a strange looking grape farm into a barn that contained several pit vipers that struck out through holes. After an apparent airstrike of some sorts we repeat the process and it finally ends. One of the times in the barn I feel drunk or something, like I lost too much blood and made one of the vipers angry, and WHAM back in meh bed...

To all you dream people...yeah, make sense of that...

Dreams are weird man...

Class last night was alright, students are having a little bit of difficulty grasping director, that’s because I think there is a lack of labs in the text to help them through the program.

Hitched a ride back with the father person, no big news there. I came home, chilled a little with George and his buds, however obnoxious they are, ate some taco bell and went to bed, because I was tired...Mondays do that to me.

Wade and Pat were on Teamspeak for once this week. Wade was busy with his new box (I'm still taking donations for the get Gizmo his new PC fund), and getting laid off, Pat having work to do. Good to hear from them though.

Holly turning the big 10 today, she is a goofy little dog for sure, but what member of our family isn't just a tad goofy.

The inaugural coming back edition of the Gizmo show aired last Sunday, editing will take place and then you will be able to hear the goodness again...but tune in next week...ya bums.

It’s strange, I seem to be getting beaten a bunch more in DotA than I used to. I'm making a few silly mistakes, but I think it’s the pub teams I've been getting. (more to come later today)

Personal Update: The One Post to Rule Them All

Yeah, so this is my first little forray into a pre-created blog. The evil snowpeople made me do it! I'm a bit too lazy to set my own up, and it'd take up space then i'd have to format it and code it and make all the pretty stuff and yeah that would never happen.

Game Stuff:
Played some DotA last night with my brother and sheng, we got whupped (for some reason I seem to get whupped alot lately) Beat Dragonball Z: Tenkatchi with Josh yesterday, still trying to unlock all the characters, but its neat playing against him because of the way the game is setup.

Ninja Gaiden Black is beating my rumpus up and down the block, playing on very hard mode, its a good challenge, and often finds my fists rampaging into the couch...

Personal Stuffage:
Still looking for that job. I'm sure i'll find something soon though. Until then, I'll be happy to work on my various side projects.

I have to teach class now... smarmy lil runts...
